Every college that accepts federal aid has a Disability Services office (sometimes called Accessible Learning, Student Accessibility, Access & Disability Resources — names vary). My roommate is allergic to dogs. The RA says I have to rehome mine.Mi compañero es alérgico. El RA dice que debo reubicar al mío.

No. The standard is "accommodate both parties where possible." The university must explore solutions — a different room assignment for your roommate, HVAC separation, different floor — before rehoming your animal can be considered. Loop Disability Services back in immediately. Document the RA's words in writing. No. El estándar es "acomodar a ambas partes cuando sea posible". My professor says my Service Dog "makes other students uncomfortable."Mi profesor dice que mi Perro de Servicio "incomoda a otros".

Not a legal basis to exclude the dog. Under the ADA, "fear of dogs" or "discomfort of other students" are explicitly not valid reasons to deny access. Reply in writing (short, non-confrontational): "Thank you for flagging — Disability Services has cleared my Service Dog as a required accommodation. She'll stay under my desk. If other students have concerns, I'm happy for DS to speak with them directly." No es base legal para excluir. El "miedo" o "incomodidad" no son razones válidas bajo ADA.

Illegal under the FHA. Request a refund in writing, cc Disability Services and the Housing Director. Write to the Director of Disability Services directly, copy the Dean of Students, and include a calendar of your original contact, follow-ups, and the academic deadline you're trying to meet. If silence continues past the start of classes, file a Section 504 complaint with the U.S. Department of Education's Office for Civil Rights (OCR). OCR moves. Escala. A routine check is not authorized on an assistance animal's status any more than on any resident's belongings. Specific cause — ongoing noise complaints, a witnessed injury — is a different conversation. Document the entries (date, time, apparent reason). Raise it with the Housing Director in writing. If it persists, it's a housing harassment claim under the FHA. Documenta. Escribe al Director de Vivienda. Si persiste, es reclamo de acoso bajo FHA.

Almost certainly yes. The FHA applies to private housing. Section 504 applies to any college accepting federal financial aid — which includes almost every private college in the US (Pell grants, federal student loans, etc. all count). The ADA applies to private colleges that are "public accommodations." Religious exemptions exist for some housing but are narrow. Casi seguro que sí. FHA aplica a vivienda privada.
